Belgazprombank Collection

Since 2011 Belgazprombank in close cooperation with the National Commission for UNESCO, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus has been carrying out unique in its content cultural project - to return home works born in Belarus and become world-renowned artists. Formation of a collection of paintings by Marc Chagall, Chaim Soutine, Pinkhus Kremegne, Mikhail Kikoïne, Ossip Lubitch, Ossip Zadkine, Schraga Zarfin (artists of the School of Paris of the first half of the twentieth century) was an important first step in this direction.

Belgazprombank Collection today is recognized as one of the largest collections of works by expressionists of the School of Paris not only in Belarus, but also in general in Eastern and Central Europe. Many of the bank acquired works of art have been included in the National List of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Belarus.

Over time, the concept of Belgazprombank Collection expanded, due to the global project "Art- Belarus", which aims to show the process of development of Belarusian culture in its entirety and continuity. In 2013, the collection was supplemented with the book by Symeon of Polack "The Governing Crosier" (1667), the picture of classic of Romanticism art of the XIX century Walenty Wańkowicz "Portrait of Tomasz Zan" - Belarus still did not have any original work of the master. Among the recent acquisitions of the bank there are painting and graphic works by Leon Bakst, the leading artist of the famous ballet "Russian Seasons" in Paris.

Belgazprombank Collection is constantly updated with important works of the authors born in Belarus, who have made a significant contribution to the history of both domestic and world culture.
